Setting Up Conversion Tracking in Adzumo

Using conversion tracking is one of the most effective ways to make your Adzumo campaigns more profitable and data-driven. By correctly setting up postbacks and API integrations, you can measure performance accurately and optimize campaigns in real time.

Generating Your API Key and Postback URL

To enable tracking, you’ll need to first need to generate your unique API Key for your Adzumo account.


​How to generate your API key:

  1. Navigate to Advertisers on the top-left of the navigation bar within your Adzumo account, and select Conversions from the drop down menu.

  2. You will see the option to "Generate your API Key". Simply press generate, and you will be given your unique API Key for your Adzumo account.

  3. Next, scroll down to the bottom of the page — your Postback URL will be displayed there under "Setup your post-back". If you have already generated your API Key, then it will automatically be added to the Postback URL.

  4. You can then click "Copy" to add the postback to your clipboard and add it to your tracker.

Setting Up Adzumo as a Traffic Source in Your Tracker

To accurately track performance and optimize campaigns, you’ll need to configure Adzumo as a traffic source within your preferred tracking platform.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Go to “Traffic Sources” in your tracking platform.

  2. Click + New Traffic Source (or “Add New”) to create a new integration.

  3. Label the source — we recommend naming it Adzumo for clarity and consistency.

  4. Paste your Postback URL (from your Adzumo account) into the Postback / Conversion URL field.

  5. Add the appropriate Sub ID parameters to capture key tracking variables such as:

    • {sub1} for campaign ID

    • {sub2} for zone ID

    • {sub3} for click ID or creative ID

    • {sub4} for custom tracking (optional)

  6. Save the configuration and perform a test conversion to verify that tracking is firing correctly.
